Our non-profit group is only as strong as our investors. The Greater Tehachapi Economic Development Council works together with the City and other hard working organizations to build this area and its economy. The Purpose of the Greater Tehachapi Economic Development Council is to enhance the quality of life in the Greater Tehachapi Area by attracting, retaining and supporting business.

To continue this work, we need people and businesses committed to the effort.

Our mission is threefold:

• Support and encourage successful, sustainable local businesses.
• Improve the quality of life and amenities that makes Tehachapi such a wonderful place to live, work and visit.
• Encourage tourism to bring new dollars into the Greater Tehachapi community.
